Tori, small and pink, is the heir to a family that got rich rather recently, and fast.
For
that, they're often criticised by high society, and so is Tori.
Ever since he was small, he
was looked down upon and compared to Tsukasa, the other kid his age. So much, that he
felt
there was no point in trying to match people's expectations, because they'd dislike
him
no matter what he did, and almost gave up entirely.
It was on one of those days that Tori spent alone that Yuzuru returned from
the
military facility. Prior to leaving, Yuzuru had been a much more expressive child, but
he
came back
changed after such an experience. Tori blames himself for Yuzuru's change, even though
he
still does not know what happened or where was he sent to.
However, Tori and Tsukasa still got along somewhat, as they were usually together.
For a while, Tsukasa saw Tori as the big kid he could hide behind , despite Tori
being
younger than him.
In an effort to get Tori to try a bit harder again, they watched historical
dramas together, and that was where Tori got his old-fashioned oujou-sama lines
from,
like
"Kneel before me, peasants!".
One day, the Tenshouin heir, who had recently enrolled into an idol school, invited him
to
one of his concerts, and he completely bewitched Tori. Eichi became to Tori what
Wataru
had been to him when he first saw him in the hospital TV.
Tori set to become an idol as well, so he began skipping lessons to practice and worked
hard
to convince his parents to let him enroll to Yumenosaki. This led to even worse
criticism.
Tsukasa, in exchange, was even more praised by the adults around them, and began to
mimic
those who insulted Tori, bullying him as well. He, who had always felt like he was a
step
behind Tori, had finally won.
However, his words did not faze Tori, who instead laughed at him. He instead pitied
Tsukasa,
for only following along with what others said.
Later, they both ended up visiting Yumenosaki and fought at the entrance.
Tsukasa then came across Knights singing near the cenotaph, and decided to become an
idol as
well, without much objection from his family.
Tori is still expecting an apology from him, because in the end he was right about idols
being great.
